Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets on 16th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Orders under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of, and Part 1 of Schedule 5 of, the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Orders will be to prohibit any vehicle, except cycles, from proceeding in:   (i)  Arbour Square (southern arm) between the eastern kerb-line of Arbour Square (western arm) and a point 3 metres east of that kerb-line;   (ii) White Horse Road between the eastern kerb-line of Belgrave Street and a point 3 metres east of that kerb-line.   Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 9th March 1998, can be inspected and obtained during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the expiration of a period of 6 months from that date, at the offices of Customer Services, Southern Grove Lodge, Southern Grove, London E3 4PN.   If the provisions of the Orders continue in operation for a period of not less than 6 months, the Borough will consider in due course whether the Order should be reproduced and continued indefinitely by means of further Orders under section 6 of the above Act. Persons desiring to object to the making of the Orders under section 6 may, within the aforementioned period of 6 months, send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Head of Street Services at the above address.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision provided therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or Local Government Act, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Orders are made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
