GREENWICH COUNCIL
The Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 44) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, on 26th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of, Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   2. The general effect of the Order, will be to further amend the Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1994, so that:   (a) waiting restrictions, operative at any time, will be imposed on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this notice;   (b) waiting restrictions operative between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sundays will be imposed on the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2 to this notice;   (c) the existing waiting restrictions on the length of Park Vista specified in Schedule 3 to this notice, which are operative between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sundays, will now become operative at any time. Details of exemptions from the restrictions for certain vehicles and persons, together with restrictions on selling or advertising in a restricted street are contained in the original Order of 1994.   3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 3rd March 1998, plans showing the locations and effects of the Order, the Order being amended and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Development Services, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich SE18 6HQ, for 6 weeks following the date the Order was made and copies of the Order may be obtained from the same address.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, of that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule 1

   Park Row, the north-east side, between the north-western kerb-line of Park Vista and a point 6 metres south-east of a point opposite the south-eastern most wall of No. 1 Park Vista.    Park Vista, the north-west side between the north-eastern kerb-line of Park Row and a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 27 and 28 Park Vista.

Schedule 2

  Greenwich Park Street, the north-east side between the north-western kerb-line of Park Vista and a point 18 metres north-west of that kerb-line. The south-west side between the north-western kerb-line of Park Vista and a point 9 metres north-west of that kerb-line.   Park Vista, the north-west side, between a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 10 and 11 Park Vista and a point 15 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Greenwich Park Street.

Schedule 3

  Park Vista, the north-west side, between the south-western kerb-line of Maze Hill and a point 18.29 metres south-west of that kerb-line. 26th February 1998.
