Designation of Parking Places
Disabled Persons Bay—Trevelyan Road, S.W.17 Doctors Bay—Totterdown Street, S.W.17

The Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 49 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991:

  The Wandsworth (Free Parking Place) (Disabled Persons) (No.  ) Order 199  ; and
  The Wandsworth (Doctor Parking Place) (No.  ) Order 199  .

  2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

  (a) designate a parking place for the leaving of disabled persons’ vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge (commonly referred to as “the Orange badge”) for any period without charge in Trevelyan Road S.W.17 (outside No. 42);
  (b) designate a doctor parking place for the leaving of vehicles displaying a valid permit in Totterdown Street S.W.17 (adjacent to No. 218 Franciscan Road).

  3. The doctor parking place referred to in paragraph 2(b) above would operate between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. throughout the week. Permits would be issued by the Council on application being made by certain legally qualified medical practitioners. The charge for an annual permit would be £103.
  4. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders, including drawings showing the location of the parking places, are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Information Point in The Concourse, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.

  6. Any person wishing to object to either of the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Chief Executive and Director of Administration, Room 153, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU (quoting the reference DA/ALT/TMO265) by 19th March 1998.
