SALFORD CITY COUNCIL
The City of Salford (Bentcliffe Way, Eccles) (Revocation of Prohibition of Waiting and Introduction of New Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1998. Notice is hereby given that on 13th February 1998, the Council of the City of Salford made the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is as described in the notice of proposal to make the Order which appeared in The London Gazette (Issue No. 54087) dated 29th June 1995, under Ref. No. 528. The Council of the City of Salford hereby revokes No. 1, 2 and 3 and amends No. 4 insofar as it relates to Schedule 1 below and makes it unlawful to permit vehicular traffic to wait on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 below. 1. The Greater Manchester County Council (Eccles Town Centre Southern By-Pass) (Prohibition of Waiting) (County) Order 1975. 2. The Greater Manchester County (Bentcliffe Way, Eccles) (Prohibition of Waiting) (City) Order 1977. 3. The Greater Manchester County (Bentcliffe Way, Eccles) (Restriction of Waiting) (County) Order 1983. 4. The Greater Manchester County (Various Roads, Urban Core) (Street Parking Places) (County) Order 1983. A copy of the Order and a map showing the lengths of road affected are available for inspection at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive. (Ref. H/LP/RTO/220.) If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 13th February 1998, apply to the High Court for this purpose. Schedule 1
1. The Greater Manchester County (Eccles Town Centre Southern By-Pass) (Prohibition of Waiting) (County) Order 1975, prohibits waiting at any time on both sides of, as it was then called, The Eccles Town Centre Southern By-Pass, from Barton Lane to Silk Street. 2. The Greater Manchester County (Bentcliffe Way, Eccles) (Prohibition of Waiting) (City) Order 1977, prohibits waiting at any time on both sides of Bentcliffe Way for its entire length. 3. The Greater Manchester County (Bentcliffe Way, Eccles) (Restriction of Waiting) (County) Order 1983, amended the 1977 Order to prohibit waiting on the south side of Bentcliffe Way between St. George’s Street and Silk Street from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on any day. 4. The Greater Manchester County (Various Roads, Urban Core) (Street Parking Places) (County) Order 1983, south side of Bentcliffe Way, Eccles, from a point 5 metres east of the junction with King Street for a distance of 45 metres in an easterly direction and from a point 40 metres east of the junction with St. George’s Street for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

No Waiting At Any Time
Bentcliffe Way, north side from Barton Lane to Silk Street. Bentcliffe Way, south side from Barton Lane for a distance of 180 metres in an easterly direction, and from the junction with Silk Street for a distance of 30 metres in a westerly direction. Irwell Grove, both sides, from the junction with Bentcliffe Way for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction.

Bentcliffe Way, south side from a point 180 metres east of the junction with Barton Lane for a distance of 105 metres in an easterly direction. 26th February 1998.
