TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
Stopping-up of an area of highway adjacent to Jessamine Cottage, Nempnett Street,
Nempnett Thrubwell, in Bath and North East Somerset. The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made an Order
under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Bath and
North East Somerset) (SW1) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway
adjacent to Jessamine Cottage, Nempnett Street, Nempnett Thrubwell, in Bath and North
East Somerset, to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice
to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission referred to in that Schedule.
It should be noted that the relevant Plan attached to the Order has now been amended.
The area to be stopped up is now shown as a smaller area.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government
Office for the South West (Transport), 5th Floor, The Pithay, Bristol BS1 2PB (quoting
Ref. GOSW(T) 5116/35/1/02) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices
of the Development and Environmental Services, Bath and North East Somerset Council,
Riverside, Temple Street, Keynsham.
Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof,
or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers
of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder
has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 27th February
1998 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any
provision contained therein.

Change of use to retain additional land as residential garden and extension to provide garage and porch and engineering operations to form new access (at Jessamine Cottage, Nempnett Thrubwell) as amended by additional information received on 21st June 1996, in accordance with planning permission granted to Mr. R. Dunn, by Bath and North East Somerset Council on 26th February 1997, under Ref. 96/02158/FUL.
