The Newham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area (Amendment No. 27) Order 1998 Folkstone Road, London E.6, Ratcliff Road, London E.7, Cave Road, London E.13

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham, on 2nd March 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order will be to:   (a) introduce new restrictions on waiting by vehicles “at any time” (double yellow lines) in that length of Folkestone Road, London E.6, which lies to the north-east of the main carriageway of Folkestone Road, and which lies between Nos. 23 and 27 Folkestone Road, London E.6, (being the cul-de-sac fronting Newham Council’s Central Depot);   (b) change the hours of operation of the existing restriction on waiting by vehicles from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Monday to Saturday inclusive (single yellow lines), to “at any time” (double yellow lines), in Ratcliff Road, London E.7, the north-east side, between Romford Road and a point opposite the south-eastern bounday of No. 390 Romford Road;   (c) revoke the existing restrictions on waiting in part of Cave Road, London E.13, between a point 7.5 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Barking Road, London E.13, and a point 18.3 metres north-west of that kerb-line.   A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 9th March 1998, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection, during normal offices hours until 6 weeks from the date on which the Order comes into force on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the offices of the Director of the Environment, 25 Nelson Street, East Ham, London E6 4EH. Copies of the Order may be obtained from this address.   If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the Act, or of any Instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
