The Waltham Forest (Prescribed Routes) (No. 2) Traffic Order 1998 The Waltham Forest (Blackhorse Lane (Parking Places) Order 1995) (Revocation) Order 1998 Queen Elizabeth Road, E.17

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest on 26th February 1998, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, the Road Traffic Regulation (Parking) Act 1986, the Parking Act 1989 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Prescribed Routes Order will be to impose one-way working for vehicles in Queen Elizabeth Road E.17 between Pasquier Road and Higham Hill Road in a south-west to north-east direction, except for pedal cycles proceeding in the opposite direction in the protected area of carriageway to be provided on the south-east side of Queen Elizabeth Road and which will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.   The general effect of the Parking Places Revocation Order will be to revoke the designation by the Blackhorse Lane (Parking Places) Order 1995, of the shared business and residents’ parking place on the south-east side of Queen Elizabeth Road between Pasquier Road and Higham Hill Road.   A copy of each of the Orders, which will come into operation on 9th March 1998, of the above-mentioned Order of 1995, of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders and of a plan showing the locations and effects of the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at: (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow E.17; and (b) The Reception Desk, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford E.4; and copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Systems Support Unit of the Highways and Services Department, Room 89, Municipal Offices, 16 The Ridgeway, Chingford E4 6PS.   Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to either of the Orders, may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Order, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
