Notice of application to vary a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Royal Lytham and St. Annes Golf Club, of Links Gate, Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire FY6 3LQ, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 26 71 353 010 to abstract water from superficial underground sand deposits at National Grid Reference SD 3375 2825, at Royal Lytham and St. Annes Golf Club, Links Gate, Flyde, Lancashire FY8 3LQ. The variation being applied for is to increase present abstraction rates for the purpose of spray irrigation of the golf course. Current rates are 13.3 cubic metres per hour, 318.2 cubic metres per day, and 20,457 cubic metres per year, the proposed rates are 21.6 cubic metres per hour, 506.4 cubic metres per day and 32,556 cubic metres per year.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Royal Lytham and St. Annes Golf Club, between 5th March 1998 and 3rd April 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, PO Box 519, South Preston, Lancashire PR5 8GD, before the end of the said period.
