GREENWICH COUNCIL
The Greenwich (Bus Lane) (No.  ) Traffic Order 199 

Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the bus lane Order would be:   (a) to designate bus lanes operative between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, on the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.   (b) to designate a bus lane operative at any time on the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice.   Persons having a query concerning the proposal should contact Development Services on 0181-854 8888 Ext. 5462.   A copy of the proposed Order and the council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order together with plans showing the locations can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Development Services, Greenwich Council, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich SE18 6HQ.   A copy of the proposed Order and plans showing the locations can also be inspected at all local libraries.   Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order or make other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to the councils’ agents, TMO Services, 9 Osprey Close, Whitstable, Kent CT5 4DT, quoting reference LBG/1095, by 26th March 1998.   Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this notice, open to public inspection. Schedule 1

  Academy Road, the south-east side, from a point 35 metres south-west of the south-eastern kerb-line of the east to west arm of Woolwich Common to a point 40 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Academy Place.    Well Hall Road, the north-west side, froma point 90 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Westmount Road to a point 80 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Shooters Hill Road.

Schedule 2

   Woolwich New Road, the south-east side, from the south-western kerb-line of Gunner Lane south-westward for a distance of 65 metres. 5th March 1998.
