Traffic Calming Scheme—Lytton Grove S.W.15

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth, with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, on 2nd March 1998, made the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985:

  The Wandsworth (20 m.p.h. Speed Limit) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1998;
  The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. 25) Order 1998;
  The Wandsworth (Putney) (Parking Places) (No. 3) Order 1998.

  The general effect of the Orders will be, in connection with the introduction of a traffic calming scheme and school safety zone, to:

  impose a maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour in Lytton Grove and at its junctions with Holmbush Road and Rusholme Road;
  introduce “at any time” waiting restrictions in certain lengths of Lytton Grove, in the vicinity of the entrance to Putney High School;
  introduce a short length of “at any time” loading restrictions on the north-east side of Lytton Grove (near the entrance to Putney High School);
  make minor amendments to the location of certain designated parking places in Lytton Grove.

  A copy of each of the Orders, which will come into operation on 7th March 1998, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including drawings showing their location and effect, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at the Information Point in The Concourse, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU.
  Copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Council’s Administration Department, Room 153, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London SW18 2PU (telephone 0181-871 7520).
  Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
