The Camden (Prescribed Route) (No.  ) Traffic Order 199 

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Camden propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect and details of which will be to prohibit vehicle traffic from entering that part of Laystall Street which lies between its junctions with Clerkenwell Road and Rosebery Avenue except:   (i) with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform.   (ii) for vehicles being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes in an emergency.   (iii) a pedal cycle.   (iv) a disabled person’s vehicle which displays a valid disabled persons badge.   (iiv) vehicles being used to load/unload goods between Midnight to 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. to Midnight, Mondays to Fridays and at any time on Saturdays and Sundays.   (iiiv) for vehicles being used in the service of the local authority in pursuance of Statutory powers.   (ix) for vehicle being used for the maintenance of the Highway by Statutory Undertakers.   (x) pursuant to restrictions indicated by signs placed under section 66 or 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   A copy of the proposed Order, a plan showing the location and the council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected or purchased during normal office hours on Monday to Friday inclusive, at the Environment Department Reception, Fifth floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street, London WC1H 8EQ.   Any person wanting to object or make other representations to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and specify the grounds thereof and address it to the Director of Environment Department, Traffic Management section, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ, to reach us by 27th March 1998, within the period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published.
