Highway verge at 1 Nirvana Close, Cannock, Staffordshire

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-Up of Highways (County of Staffordshire) (No. 2) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway verge at 1 Nirvana Close, Cannock, Staffordshire.   The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the work described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the permission given for lawful use of the land as agreed with Cannock Chase District Council.   Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands, at the offices of the Director, Planning, Transport and Environment, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT (quoting 5074/35/1/89) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Cannock Chase District Council, Civic Centre, Beecroft Road, Cannock, Staffordshire WS11 1BG.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 6th March 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
