Notice under section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925

This notice concerns you if you are a former employee of:

OFFICE AND ELECTRONIC MACHINES PLC/LIMITED ADLER BUSINESS COMPUTERS LIMITED OEM (REPROGRAPHIC) LIMITED TAYLORS BUSINESS MACHINES (DISTRIBUTORS) LIMITED IMPERIAL BUSINESS EQUIPMENT LIMITED

or widow/widower, child or other dependent of such former employee. The Office and Electronic Machines Plc Pension and Life Assurance Scheme (“the Scheme”) is being wound up. This means that the Trustee of the Scheme needs to establish exactly who are the beneficiaries of the Scheme, and their entitlements to benefits, so that the assets of the Scheme can be used to provide pensions and benefits due to the beneficiaries. As part of the winding-up, the Trustee is arranging for all benefits under the Scheme to be secured with Legal & General Assurance Society. Legal & General have already written to all of the Members and beneficiaries of the Scheme for whom there are records. If you have not already received a letter from Legal & General and you have, or think that you may have, a right to benefit under the Scheme, you should write before 22nd May 1998 to the Scheme Administrator, William M. Mercer Limited at Telford House, 14 Tothill Street, London SW1H 9NB, marking your correspondence for the attention of M. Wilkinson. After 22nd May 1998, the benefits in relation to the Scheme will be distributed; if you do not notify the Scheme Administrator of your possible rights to benefits on or before this date you will lose any rights you may have to claim those benefits and the Trustee will not be liable to any person or persons from whom they have not received a claim or demand for any sums so distributed. M. Boulton, Company Secretary, for and on behalf of Hartshead Solway Financial Services Limited as Trustee.
