The City of Westminster (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (Amendment No. 2) Order 1998 The City of Westminster (Free Parking Place) (Short Stay) (No. 1) Order 1998 The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 557) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council, on 18th March 1998, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The notice of proposal to make the above-mentioned Orders appeared in The London Gazette (Issue No. 54555) dated 18th October 1996 under ref. No. 499. The effects of the Orders, which relate to Drury Lane and Kean Street, are as described in that notice.   Copies of the Orders, of the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1976, of the City of Westminster (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (No. 1) Order 1995 and of the City of Westminster (Free Parking Places) (Short Stay) (No. 1) Order 1995 (and of any Orders which have previously amended or applied those Orders), of plans which indicate the locations and effects of the Orders and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders can be inspected between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays until 29th April 1998 at Hyder Consulting Ltd., Third Floor, 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ.   The Free Parking Places (Short Stay) Order will come into force for the purposes of placing traffic signs etc. on 21st March 1998 and for all other purposes on 23rd March 1998. The Waiting and Loading Restriction Order and the Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Amendment Order will come into force on 23rd March 1998.   Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 29th April 1998.
