Notice of applications to stop up parts of the Highway at Derby Road, Draycott, Derby

Notice is given that applications will be made by Derbyshire County Council, being the Highways Authority for the highways described below, to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Pimlico, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, on Thursday, 23rd April 1998, at 2 p.m., for Orders under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 that parts of a highway in Draycott, Derbyshire be stopped-up. The highways in question are as follows:   1. An area of land with a frontage length of 16 metres and measuring 4.75 metres at the eastern end and 6.25 metres at the western end, but reduced by a width of 2 metres for a distance of 4.7 metres from the western end, situated adjacent to the garden of 105 Derby Road, Draycott, fronting onto Derby Road.   2. An area of land with a frontage length of 15.5 metres and measuring 4.7 metres at the western end and 4.62 metres at the eastern end but reduced by a width of 1.5 metres for a distance of 3 metres from the eastern end, situated adjacent to the garden of 123 Derby Road, Draycott, fronting on to Derby Road and opposite the junction with West Avenue.   The areas of highway are indicated on the plan attached to the notice. If such Orders are obtained the areas of land will revert to the adjoining landowners. A copy of this notice and the plans attached may be inspected, free of charge, at Erewash Borough Council Offices, Town Hall, Long Eaton, Nottingham NG10 1HU. D. W.
