LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON
The Croydon (Off-street Parking Places) (No.  ) Traffic Order 199  

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Croydon propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 32, 35, 124 of, and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
  The general effect of the Order will be:

  (a) to amend the Croydon (Off-street Parking Places) (No. 2) Traffic Order 1991, to designate the area of land located on the south-west side of Central Parade, New Addington, as a short term pay and display” operated Car Park (known as New Addington Swimming Pool Car Park);
  (b) to provide that the regulations contained within that Order governing the use of Off-street Car Parks now apply to the New Addington Swimming Pool Car Park;
  (c) to specify that passenger vehicles (with 12 seats or less) may be left in the parking places provided;
  (d) to provide that the various charges for leaving a vehicle in this Car Park may vary from 10p for a period up to 2 hours to £1 (maximum) for 24 hours;
  (e) to allow Orange Badge holders and motor cycles to use the parking places without charge;
  (f) to provide that the penalty charge for contravening the Off-street Car Parking regulations will be £40 reduceable to £20 on early settlement of the fine.

  A copy of the proposed Order (and of all related Orders), of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, and of a map indicating the lengths of road to which the proposed Order relates, can be inspected for a period of 28 days from the date of this notice during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the One Stop” Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

  Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Public Services and Works Department, London Borough of Croydon, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey, quoting Ref. TH/SJC/OS/NA, within the afore-said 28 days.
