The Islington (Prescribed Routes) (No. 127) Traffic Management Order 1998 relating to Hargrave Road N.19

Notice is hereby given that the Islington Borough Council on 20th March 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   2. The general effect of the Order will be to:       (a) ensure that all vehicles travelling in Hargrave Road from its junction with Holloway Road N.19 and up to its junction with Junction Road N.19, shall do so only in a westerly direction, effectively making Hargrave Road a one-way street;       (b) ensure that no vehicle shall enter or proceed in Hargrave Road from its junction with Junction Road N.19.   The prohibition referred to in paragraph 2 above will not apply in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform, nor will it apply to vehicles of the Emergency Services in the event of an emergency.   A copy of the Order, of plans indicating details of the measures referred to above and of the Council’s statement of case for making the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made at the following location: The Legal Department, Town Hall, Upper Street, London N1 2UD. Please ask for Ref. LE/C/HGF.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, or that any of the regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date of which the Order was made, make application for these purposes to the High Court.
