ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The Trunk Road (Fletchamstead Highway and Kenpas Highway, Coventry) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1971, Variation Order 19  . The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) and 4(1) and (2) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A45 Trunk Road (Fletchamstead Highway) at Coventry in the West Midlands.   The effect of the Order would be to vary the prohibitions imposed by an Order made in 1971 and allow waiting in the four laybys on the western side of the A45 Trunk Road between points approximately 56 metres north of its junction with Tile Hill Lane and 91 metres north of its junction with Elm Tree Avenue.   A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposal and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Coventry City Council, Tower Block, Much Park Street, Coventry, or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Network and Customer Services (Midland), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL.   Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address, stating the grounds of objection, not later than 21st April 1998, quoting Ref.
