The Borough of Stafford (Off-street Parking Places) (Bridge Street Multi-Storey Car Park, Stafford) Order 1996 (Amendment) Order 1998.
Notice is hereby given that on 19th March 1998, the Council made the above Orders under sections 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The orders will come into operation on 1st April 1998 and will amend the car parking charges for Stafford town centre car parks as follows:

Central Short Stay Car Parks

North Walls, South Walls, Broad Street and Civic Offices (and, Saturdays only, Tipping Street and Riverside).
Up to 1 hour  50p Up to 2 hours  70p Up to 3 hours  £1.20 Up to 4 hours  £2.70 Maximum stay 4 hours

Outer Short Stay Car Parks

Kingsmead, Tenterbanks, Doxey Road and Bridge Street Multi-Storey (and, Saturdays and Bank Holidays only, the County Council staff car park at Kingsmead).
Up to 1 hour  50p (Bridge Street only)
Up to 2 hours  60p Up to 4 hours  £1.20 Up to 6 hours  £2.20 Maximum stay 6 hours

Long Stay Parking

Doxey Road  £1.60 Other  £2.10
Maximum stay 10 hours
  There will be no increase in the charges for monthly parking permits, the charges remaining as follows:
Doxey Road/Bridge Street Multi-Storey  £20 Other  £25
  Copies of the Orders and maps relating thereto are available for inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office, Civic Offices, Riverside, Stafford, where they may be examined during normal office hours. If you wish to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, you may within 6 weeks from 19th March 1998, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
