MALVERN HILLS DISTRICT
(Off Street Parking Places) (Amendment No. 8) (Grange Road South) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to make an Order under sections 35(1), 39(3) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The effect of the Order will be:   (i) to enable the terms within the Malvern Hills District (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 1993 (as updated) governing the conditions of use etc. to apply to land off Grange Road (outside The Grange);   (ii) to specify that the charges for the parking of motor vehicles on that car park be as follows:   Monday to Saturday inclusive, 2 a.m. to 6 p.m., 20p for 0 to 1 hour, 40p for 1 to 2 hours, (no return within 1 hour), 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., No charge.   Sundays: No charge;   Bank Holidays: No charge.   (iii) to specify that the hours of operation of the parking place shall be all hours except between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m.   (iv) to specify that only the following classes of vehicle may use the parking place:   Motor car as defined in section 136(2)(a), motor cycle as defined in section 136(4) and invalid carriages as defined in section 136(5) of the Act; and motor vehicles not exceeding 3500 kg gross vehicle weight constructed or adapted solely for the purpose of carrying goods;   (v) to specify that the car park be known as the Grange Road South car park, Malvern.   Details are contained in a draft Order which may be inspected between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday at the Council’s Area Offices, at Bromyard and Ledbury and at the Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern. Any objections to the making of the Order should be made in writing to me at the address given below by 24th April 1998, and each objection must state the grounds upon which such an objection is made.
