Local Inquiry into proposed Stopping-up and Diversion of Shelly Road, Exmouth, Devon

Notice is hereby given that a local inquiry is to be held in connection with the proposal by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act, authorising the stopping-up and diversion of Shelly Road, Exmouth, Devon. If authorised, the stopping-up Order would remove all rights of way by the public over two areas of Shelly Road, and provide new and improved highway and access links.   Copies of the proposed Order may be obtained, free of charge, upon application to the Secretary of State (quoting Ref. GOSW(T) 5051/35/1/291) at his address at the Government Office for the South West (Transport), 5th Floor, The Pithay, Bristol BS1 2PB.   The Inquiry will be held in Exmouth Town Hall, St. Andrews Road, Exmouth, Devon EX8 1AW, on Tuesday, 19th May 1998, at 10 a.m. by W.
