The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Hertfordshire) (No. 2) Order 1998

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of WSP Graham Development Limited he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Hertfordshire) (No. 2) Order 1998” incorporating a minor modification deleting the verge both sides of the new highway to be provided; authorising the stopping-up of two lengths of highway at Weston Road, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, to enable development consisting of the construction of a principal access road, associated footpaths and cycleways and residential development to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to CCB Stevenage Limited, William Sutton Trust and St. Pancras Housing Association by Stevenage Borough Council, on 19th March 1996, and amended on 22nd July 1997, under Ref. 2/0412/95/RM.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting GT/K1935/35/1/16) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Stevenage Borough Council, Daneshill House, Danestrete, Stevenage, and at the address of the Clerk to Graveley Parish Council, 1 Hillside Cottage, Church Lane, Graveley, near Hitchin, Hertfordshire.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 3rd April 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
