LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON
The Sutton (Disabled Persons Parking Places) (No. 2) (Amendemnt No. 14) Order 1998.

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton made the above-mentioned Order on 7th April 1998, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The principle objectives are that the proposed bays shall provide for disabled persons:    (a) a parking facility where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult;    (b) a parking facility in a local shopping area where parking regularly occurs making reasonable means of access difficult.   The general effect of this Order will be:   (i) to provide a parking place in which only vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at;     (a) outside No. 2 Delcombe Avenue, Worcester Park, to operate at all times;     (b) outside No. 98 Garendon Road, Morden, to operate at all times;     (c) outside No. 32 Washington Road, Worcester Park, to operate at all times;     (d) outside No. 51 Kingsdown Road, Cheam, to operate at all times;     (e) outside Ridge Road Library, Sutton, to operate at all times;     (f) outside No. 168 Winchcombe Road, Carshalton, to operate at all times (fully on footway);     (g) outside No. 179 Robertsbridge Road, Carshalton, to operate at all times;     (h) outside No. 97 Abbots Road, Cheam, to operate at all times;     (i) outside No. 48 Gomshall Avenue, Wallington, to operate at all times;   (ii) to revoke the disabled persons parking bays in the following locations:     (a) outside No. 117 Browning Avenue, Worcester Park;     (b) outside No. 17 Whitby Gardens, Carshalton;     (c) outside No. 23 Kew Crescent, North Cheam;     (d) outside No. 56 Courteny Crescent, Carshalton;   (iii) to withdraw the proposed disabled persons parking bays outside the following locations:     (a) No. 4/2 Lingfield Road (Worcester Park);     (b) No. 25/20 Torre Walk (Carshalton)     (c) No. 64/66 or 28/30 Shaftesbury Road, (Carshalton);     (d) relocation of disabled persons parking bay from outside No. 36 Stayton Road (Sutton) to outside 38 Stayton Road (objections have been received to the above proposals)   A copy of the Order which will come into effect on Monday, 13th April 1998, and the Council‘s statement of reasons for making the Order, can be examined at Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton, Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Environmental Services, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.   If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of this Act or of any Instrument made under this Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
