The Borough of Rugby (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Rugby Borough Council propose to make the Borough of Rugby (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 1998. The effect of this new Order will be that the existing Borough of Rugby (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 1996 is revoked. The following amendments will be made to the existing Order:   1. Article 9 (excess charge) has been amended to increase the excess charge payable from £30 to £40.   2. In Part 1 of the Schedule (short stay car parks) there has been an increase in the charge for a period exceeding 3 hours but not exceeding 5 hours from £1 to £1.60 and for a period exceeding 5 hours but not exceeding 10 hours from £3 to £4.   3. In Part 2 of the Schedule (long stay car parks) the charge for the period exceeding 5 hours but not exceeding 10 hours has been increased from £1.10 to £1.20.   4. Part 4 season tickets for all parking places for vehicles not exceeding 3 tonnes unladen weight have been increased as follows:

  (a) For long stay parking places (but not including John Barford and Railway Terrace parking places) increased to £43
  (b) For all long stay parking places and including levels 4-8 of John Barford and Railway Terrace parking places increased to £73
  (c) For all parking places increased to £234
  A copy of the Borough of Rugby (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 1998, the relevant maps, a copy of the Council’s reasons for making the Order and a copy of the previous Order, may be inspected at the Offices of the Director of Corporate Services, of the Borough Council, Town Hall, Rugby, during normal office hours.   Any objections to the proposed Order must be made in writing specifying the grounds of objection, and addressed to the Director of Corporate Services (Ref.
