LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET
The Barnet (Prescribed Route) (No. ) Order 199
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to make the southern part of Widecombe Way one-way from Lyttelton Road and the southern part of Vivian Way one-way to Lyttelton Road. This is being done as a safety measure as part of a new pelican crossing to be constructed on the A1 Lyttelton Road between the junctions of Widecombe Way and Vivian Way. 3. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above will not apply in relation to anything done: (a) with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; (b) in accordance with traffic signs placed pursuant to section 66 or section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; (c) in relation to any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency. 4. A copy of the proposed Order, a plan of the relevant area and the Council’s statements of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date of which this notice is published at: (a) Traffic Section, Room 1006, Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone, London N20 0EJ; (b) The Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London NW4 4BG. 5. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the London Borough of Barnet (Traffic Section), telephone 0181-3594310. 6. Any person desiring to object and/or make other representations relating to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environmental Services (Traffic Section), London Borough of Barnet, Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone, London N20 0EJ, within the aforementioned period of 21 days.
