The Malvern Hills District (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No. 7) (Charging Amendments) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that on 6th April 1998, the Council made an Order under sections 35(1), 39(3) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  The effect of the Order is:

  (1) to specify the charges relating to the Back Lane car park (upper and lower levels) as follows and that the maximum period for which vehicles may wait on this car park be 4 consecutive hours in any 6:

Mon to Sat (incl) 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. 20p for 0-1 hour
40p for 1-2 hours
60p for 2-3 hours
80p for 3-4 hours
6 p.m. to 2 a.m. No charge
Sundays and bank
holidays

No charge

  (2) to specify the charges relating to the Geraldine Road car park, Malvern, as follows and that the maximum period for which vehicles may wait on this car park be 2 consecutive hours in any 4:
Mon to Sat (incl) 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. 20p for 0-1 hour
40p for 1-2 hours
6 p.m. to 2 a.m. No charge
Sundays and bank
holidays

No charge

  (3) to specify the charges (for all vehicles except coaches) relating to the Priory Road (formerly Southlea) car park, Malvern, as follows and that the maximum period for which any vehicle may wait on this car park be 23 consecutive hours:
Mon to Sat (incl) 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. 20p for 0-1 hour
40p for 1-2 hours
60p for 2-3 hours
80p for 3-4 hours
£1 for over 4 hours
6 p.m. to 2 a.m. No charge

  (4) to specify that the charge for the residents 2 hour free parking disc be £4 for 2 years;
  (5) to extend the issue of residents parking discs to residents of the new District of Malvern Hills (including Tenbury but excluding Ledbury and Bromyard areas) and to permit the use of resident parking discs on all Council car parks within the new District of Malvern Hills only.

  The Order will come into effect on 11th April 1998.
  A copy of the Order may be inspected between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday at the Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern.
  Any person who wishes to question the validy of the Order on the grounds that it is not within the power of the relevant sections of the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the section or of Schedule 9 of the Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date of this notice, make application to the High Court.
