The Southwark (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No. 1) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark on 30th April 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order is to shorten the length of the free parking place on the north side of Godman Road in order to accommodate a vehicular crossover.   A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 4th May 1998, the Southwark (Free Parking Places) Order 1974, and of a plan can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice was published, in the Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES.   Further information can be obtained from Paul Mbanugo, Southwark Regeneration and Environment Department (Highways Group), Council Offices, Chiltern House, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, telephone 0171-525 5523.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
