The A614 Trunk Road (Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire) (Derestriction) Order 199  

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 82(2) and 83(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The effect of the Order would be that the length of the A614 Trunk Road between points 445 metres south of its junction with Mickledale Lane and 520 metres north of its junction with Stonish Hill in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire, a distance of 2,040 metres, would cease to be a restricted road for the purposes of section 81 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The speed limit would revert to the national limit of 70 miles per hour.   Copies of the proposed Order together with a location plan and a statement explaining the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during office hours between 30th April 1998 and 22nd May 1998 at the offices of Nottinghamshire County Council, Trent Bridge House, Fox Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham; or obtained by application to the Director of Network and Customer Services (Midland) at the address shown below.   Objections to the proposed Order must be sent to the Director of Network and Customer Services (Midland), Highways Agency, Heron House, 49-51 Goldington Road, Bedford MK42 3LL, by 22nd May 1998, quoting Ref.
