Notice of Deposit of Proposals for a Local Plan City of York Local Plan

Notice is hereby given that the City of York Council have prepared proposals for the above plan. If, and when, these proposals are adopted they will form part of the development plan for the City of York. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area.   Copies of the proposals are available for public inspection, free of charge, at 9 St. Leonard’s Place, York, on Monday to Friday, 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and The Guildhall, York, on Monday to Friday, 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and and Public Libraries at Acomb, Bishopthorpe, Clifton, Copmanthorpe, Dringhouses, Dunnington, Fulford, Haxby, Huntington, New Earswick, Osbaldwick, Poppleton, Strensall, Tang Hall and York Central Library, during their normal opening hours.   Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposals should be sent in writing to Head of Development and Regeneration, City of York Council, 9 St. Leonard’s Place, York YO1 7ET, before 5 p.m. on 19th June 1998. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals. Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the 6 week period ending on 19th June 1998 will have a right to have their objections considered at a local enquiry.   Further information is available from Head of Development and Regeneration, City of York Council, 9 St. Leonard’s Place, York YO1 7ET, tel. 01904 551313.

Notice of Intention to Adopt Proposals

  If no objections are received during the period given for making objections, City of York Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
