The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Essex) (No. 12) Order1998
The Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that on the application of ASA Architects he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Essex) (No. 12) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway land adjoining 65-71 The Greenstead, Basildon, Essex, to enable development consisting of the erection of a 3 bedroom bungalow to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Acts to ASA Architects by Basildon District Council on 18th June 1997, under Ref. BAS/0281/97. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to M. Jones at the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Room 135, Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting GT/V1505/35/1/40), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Basildon District Council, The Basildon Centre, St.Martin’s Square, Basildon, Essex. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied within relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 21st May 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order of any provision contained therein.
