Stopping-up of a Highway

Notice is hereby given that Hartlepool Borough Council, the Highway Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on 30th June 1998, at 2.15 p.m., for an Order, pursuant to section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that those lengths of highway referred to in the Schedule hereto be stopped up on the ground that they are unnecessary. A copy of a plan (drawing No. M49.129D), showing those parts of the highway to be stopped up may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Legal Division of the Chief Executive’s Department, Civic Centre, Victoria Road, Hartlepool. Schedule

   Richard Street, Hartlepool, that section of Richard Street, which is approximately 10 metres in width, and commences from its junction with back of footway on Lister Street for a distance of approximately 115 metres in a northerly direction.    Back Richard Street (West), Hartlepool, that section of Back Richard Street (West), which is approximately 4.8 metres in width, and commences at a point approximately 17 metres from the rear boundary of 99 Park Road in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 116 metres to its junction with back of footway on Lister Street. 7th May 1998.
