Notice of Adoption of Proposals for a Local Plan
The Richmondshire Local Plan
Notice is hereby given that on 9th June 1998, Richmondshire District Council adopted these plan proposals with modifications. The adopted proposals will form part of the development plan for Richmondshire District. The development plan forms the basis for decision on land use planning affecting that area. Copies of the adopted proposals are available for inspection at the Council’s offices at Swale House, Richmond; Leyburn Community Office; and at the libraries of Richmond, Leyburn, Colburn and Catterick Garrison, free of charge, and during normal office opening hours. The proposals came into operation on their adoption. A person aggrieved by the proposals who desires to question their validity on the ground that they are not within the powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, or that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the adoption proposals, may, within 6 weeks from 12th June 1998, make an application to the High Court under section 287 of the 1990 Act.
