Stopping-up of a Highway at Royton, Oldham
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that on the application of Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Metropolitan Borough of Oldham) (No. 3) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of part of Cambrian Drive and adjacent footpaths at Royton. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting Ref. GO/TNW 5083/35/1/76), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the Technical Services Department, Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council, Henshaw House, Cheapside, Oldham. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 18th June 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
