Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Alfred McAlpine Special Projects Limited, of 8 Suffolk Street, London SW1Y 4HG, is applying to the Environment Agency, for a licence to abstract water from River Douglas, at National Grid Reference SD 5662 0604 at Anjou Boulevard, Robin Park, Newtown, Wigan.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 6 cubic metres per hour, 50 cubic metres per day, 2,000 cubic metres between July 1998 and August 1999. The water will be used for dust control on a construction site.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Site Security Office, of Alfred McAlpine Special Projects Ltd, Anjou Boulevard, Robin Park, Wigan WN5 0UJ, between 26th June 1998 and 24th July 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Authorisations Officer, Lutra House, Dodd Way, off Seedlee Road, Walton Summit, Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 8BX, before the end of the said period.
