Notice of Deposit of Proposals for a Local Plan
SOUTH SOMERSET LOCAL PLAN

Notice is hereby given that South Somerset District Council have prepared proposals for the above plan. If, and when, these plan proposals are adopted they will form part of the development plan for South Somerset District. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area.   Copies of the proposals are available for public inspection, free of charge, at:   The Council Offices, Brympton Way, Yeovil, weekdays 8.30 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. (4.45 p.m. Fridays);   Churchfield, Wincanton, weekdays 8.45 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. (4.45 p.m. Fridays);   Old Kelways, Somerton Road, Langport, weekdays 8.45 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. (4.45 p.m. Fridays);   Maltravers House, Petters Way, Yeovil, weekdays 8.45 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. (4.45 p.m. Fridays);   Holyrood Lace Mill, Holyrood Street, Chard, weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (4.30 p.m. Fridays).   Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposals should be sent in writing to the Planning Policy Manager, South Somerset District Council, Council Offices, Brympton Way, Yeovil BA20 2HT, before 5 p.m. on 7th August 1998. Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may also be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the proposals.   Only objectors whose objections are made in writing and arrive at the address specified above within the six week period ending on 7th August 1998 will have a right to have their objections considered at a local inquiry or hearing.   Further information is available from the Planning Policy Unit, South Somerset District Council, Council Offices, Brympton Way, Yeovil BA20 2HT, telephone Yeovil (01935) 462594.

Notice of Intention to Adopt Proposals

  If no objections to the proposals are received during the period given for making objections, South Somerset District Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period.
