BURIAL ACT 1853

Notice is hereby given that representations have been made to Her Majesty in Council by the Secretary of State for the Home Department that burials should be discontinued in the following places of burial and that Her Majesty in Council was pleased on 24th June 1998 to order that such representations be taken into consideration by a Committee of the Privy Council on 19th August 1998:   1. The Old Churchyard of St. Thomas à Becket, Sourton, Okehampton, Devon;   2. Christ Church Churchyard, Downend, South Gloucestershire.
