Notices under the Trustee Act 1925
The following notice is in substitution for that which appeared on page 7161 of The London Gazette dated 30th June 1998
THE METROPOLITAN VICKERS THRIFT SCHEME (“The Scheme”)
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, that the Scheme is being wound up by its Trustees. Any present or former members of the Scheme who believe that they are entitled to receive a distribution from the Scheme either because of membership of the Scheme or by virtue of membership of its predecessor scheme, also known as the Metropolitan Vickers Thrift Scheme, are required to write to the Trustees, c/o Mr. M. Bradley, GEC Alsthom Traction Limited, Channel Way, Preston PR1 8XL, before 30th September 1998, to make a claim for benefits under the Scheme. Claimants should provide their full name, address, date of birth, the period during which they were a member of the Scheme or its predecessor scheme and any documents supporting their claim. In addition, if any other person or persons have any other claims against or interest in the Scheme or its predecessor scheme, they are requested to write to Mr. Bradley at the above address setting out particulars of such a claim in writing before 30th September 1998. After 30th September 1998 the Trustees of the Scheme may distribute any surplus assets of the Scheme amongst the persons entitled thereto having regard only to the claims and interests of which they have prior notice and will not, as regards the assets so distributed, be liable to any person of whose claim they do not then have notice.
