LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK
The London Borough of Southwark (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Amendment No.   ) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given in accordance with The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1989, that the Council of the London Borough of Southwark, proposes to make the above-mentioned Order.
  The proposed Order would be made under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
  The general effect of the Order would be to introduce waiting restrictions which would prohibit the waiting of vehicles at any time in lengths of the following roads:
  (a) Surrey Quays Road, from the northern kerb-line of Redriff Road to a point 60 metres north of the northern kerb-line of the unnamed access road into Harmsworth Quay;
  (b) Redriff Road, from a point 68.5 metres south of the northern kerb-line of Surrey Quays Road to a point 50 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Quebec Way;
  (c) Quebec Way, from the northern kerb-line of Redriff Road to a point 20 metres north of the northern kerb-line of the unnamed access road leading to Harmsworth Quay.
  A copy of the proposed Order, the Southwark (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) Traffic Order 1976, together with a plan and the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published in the Council Offices, Chiltern, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES.

  Any persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Director of Regeneration and Environment, Council Offices, Chiltern, Portland Street, London SE17 2ES, quoting Ref. PR/CQ/ T1.2- to arrive no later than 12 noon on Wednesday, 6th August 1998.
