TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 249 and section 333(7) of the above Act entitled “The Conversion of Highways into Footpaths or Bridleways (District of Scunthorpe) (No. 1) Order 1977, Variation Order 1998”. The effect of the variation is the reinstatement of vehicular rights across two areas of highway at Elizabeth Street, Scunthorpe. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Director of Planning and Transport at the Government Office for Yorkshire and The Humber, PO Box 213, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4US (quoting Ref. YHDOTY 2003/41/39/1) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the Council Offices, Pitwood House, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 20th August 1998 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
