The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 11) Order 1998

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that on the application of Norwich City Council, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Norfolk) (No. 11) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of all-purpose highway which is footway at Golden Ball Street, Norwich, Norfolk to enable development, consisting of: part conversion of existing floorspace of Castle Mall Shopping Centre; raising of roof of original building; redevelopment of Golden Ball Street frontage (retaining 18 Golden Ball Street) to provide 8 screen cinema complex, to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Friends’ Provident Property by Norwich City Council on 17th November 1997, under reference 4970150/F.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting GT/G2625/35/1/12) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Norwich City Council, City Hall, St. Peter’s Street, Norwich, Norfolk.   Any person aggrieved by the Order or desiring to question the validity thereof, of of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 3rd September 1998 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
