TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Northumberland) (No. 3) Order 1998”, authorising the stopping-up of a length of unnamed highway between 34 and 36 Bridge Street, Blyth, Northumberland, to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted to D. Crawford, Chief Executive/Borough Secretary of Blyth Valley Council, by Blyth Valley Council on 21st October 1997, under Ref. 97/C/0178/P. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State at the offices of the Director Planning, Environment and Transport, Government Office for the North East, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4TD (quoting GO-NE/98/5068/35/2), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the Blyth Valley Borough Council, Dinsdale House, Marine Terrace, Blyth, Northumberland NE24 2LN. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 1st October 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein. The planning permission is granted for an office development at 28-42 Bridge Street, and 1, 3 and 3 a Percy Street, Blyth.
