Transfer of General Insurance Creditor Business

Notice is hereby given that Security Insurance Limited applied to Her Majesty’s Treasury on 1st October 1998, for approval pursuant to Part II of Schedule 2C of the Insurance Companies Act 1982, to transfer to Norwich Union Insurance Limited all of its rights and obligations under general insurance creditor policies written prior to that date. Copies of the statement of particulars of the proposed transfer are available for inspection until 2nd November 1998, at Security Insurance Limited/Norwich Union Insurance Limited, Surrey Street, Norwich, Norfolk NR1 3NG; and Norwich Union House, 51-54 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 3LA; from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Written representations concerning the transfer may be sent before 2nd December 1998, to HM Treasury, Insurance Directorate, 1 Victoria Street, London SW1H 0ET. HM Treasury will not determine the application until after considering any representations made before that date.
