TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Cleveland) (No. 3) Order 1998”, authorising the stopping-up of lengths of footpath at High Grange, Billingham, in the county of Cleveland, to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted to High Grange Footpath Group by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council on 13th June 1997, under Ref. 97/0750/P. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State, at the offices of the Director, Planning, Environment and Transport, Government Office for the North East, Wellbar House, Gallowgate, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE1 4TD (quoting GO-NE/97/5047/35/04), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Muncipal Buildings, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 1LE. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 2nd October 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein. Schedule
The planning permission granted is for the change of use from footpaths to garden curtilages, public footpath from High Grange Avenue to Cowbeck Bridge and connection footpaths to Allington Drive, Billingham.
