Highway at the bus station, adjacent to the Cornbow Centre and the Queensway, Halesowen

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Metropolitan Borough of Dudley) (No. 4) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway at the bus station, adjacent to the Cornbow Centre and the Queensway, Halesowen.   The Order, as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council on 30th April 1998, under reference 98/50337. Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands at the offices of the Director, Planning, Transport and Environment, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT, (quoting 5106/35/1/11) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, 3 St James’ Road, Dudley, West Midlands DY1 1HZ. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 2nd October 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
