TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping-up of the whole of Earls Terrace, London W.8. The proposed Order will not be made unless planning permission for the development described in the Schedule to this notice is granted, and in that event the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable the development to be carried out in accordance with that planning permission. Planning permission for that development was applied for to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea by Grimley on behalf of Earls Terrace Properties Ltd., on 30th January 1998, under application number TP/98/0178, who have appealed to the Secretary of State under section 78 of the above Act against non-determination. Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours during 28 days commencing on 9th October 1998 at the offices of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Directorate of Transportation and Highways, The Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W.8, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Government Office for London (quoting Ref. LTM 5/20/I) at the address stated below. Any person may object to the making of the proposed Order within the period of 28 days commencing on 9th October 1998 by notice to the Secretary of State, quoting the above reference, at the Government Office for London, Transport Division, 8.W19, Riverwalk House, 157-161 Millbank, London SW1P 4RR. In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.
