Glasson Conservation Area
Notice is hereby given under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Area) Act 1990, section 69 that the Lancaster City Council has determined that the boundary of the Glasson Conservation Area be amended to exclude the following land and properties: Land adjacent to rear of 6-14 (even) Quernmore Drive Land adjacent 19-29 Pennine View 1 to 29 Pennine View 1-11 (odd) Bowland View 2-16 (even) Bowland View 1-19 (odd) Wyresdale Crescent 2-12 (even) Wyresdale Crescent 1-9 (odd) Quernmore Drive 2-14 (even) Quernmore Dirve 31, 33 and 35 Tithebarn Hill Land to the south of canal at Brows Bridge west and north of adjacent road. The reasons for removing these areas is that they have no relationship to the essential character of Glasson Dock as a 19th Century working port. The plan defining the amended boundary of the Conservation Area may be inspected at the office of the Chief Planning Officer, Palatine Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, during normal office hours. S. Hadaway, Chief Solicitor, Town Hall, Lancaster 18th November 1998.
