STOPPING-UP OF A HIGHWAY AT MIDDLEWICH, CHESHIRE
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that on the application of David Wilson Homes, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of a Highway (county of Cheshire) (No. 1) Order 1998,” authorising the stopping-up of Finney’s Lane, Middlewich. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport) Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting Ref. GO/TNW 5046/35/1/12). It may also be inspected at all reasonable hours at Congleton Borough Council, Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, and at the Middlewich Information Centre, Victoria Buildings, Lewin Street, Middlewich. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 2nd December 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
