House of Lords, London SW1A 0PW 12th January 1999 The Queen has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 12th January 1999, to appoint the Right Honourable Sir Nicholas Addison Phillips, Knight, a Lord Justice of Appeal, to be a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary under the Appellate Jurisdiction Act 1876, as amended by subsequent enactments, and to grant to him the dignity of a Baron for life by the style of Baron Phillips of Worth Matravers, of Belsize Park, in the London Borough of Camden.
