NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR ENVIRONMENT,TRANSPORT AND THE REGIONS FOR CONFIRMATION OF BYELAWS RELATING TO THE FOLLOWING RAILWAY OPERATORS: FIRST GREAT EASTERN, FIRST GREAT WESTERN, FIRST NORTH WESTERN
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 67 of the Transport Act 1962, and section
129 of the Railways Act 1993, that First Great Eastern, First Great Western and First
North Western have made byelaws relating to Great Eastern Railway Limited, Great Western
Trains Company Limited and North Western Trains Company Limited, and intend to apply
to the Secretary of State for Environment, Trnasport and the Regions for his confirmation.
A copy of the byelaws in respect of which application for confirmation is to be made
can be inspected, free of charge, for a period of 28 days starting from the date of
this notice appearing, at the following addresses between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and
4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays:
First Great Eastern, 35 Artillery Lane, London E1 7LP, Customer Service office at
Chelmsford station.
First Great Western, Milford House, 1 Milford Street, Swindon SN1 1HL, Great Western
Help Desk at London Paddington station.
First North Western, Rail House, Store Street, Manchester M60 1DQ, Station Supervisor’s
office at Chester station, Station Supervisor’s office at Liverpool Lime Street station.
A copy of the byelaws for each of the above companies can be obtained for a charge
of 50p per copy by writing to the appropriate company at Milford House, 1 Milford
Street, Swindon SN1 1HL.
During the 28 day period any person affected by the new byelaws may make representation
to the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions, by writing to
him at the Department of Environment, Transport and the Regions, Zone 3/33 (Bye-laws),
Great Minster House, 76 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4RP.
