STOPPING-UP OF A HIGHWAY

Notice is hereby given that Hartlepool Borough Council, the Highways Authority, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Law Courts, Victoria Road, Hartlepool, on 18th May 1999, at 2.15 p.m. for an Order pursuant to section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, that those lengths of highway referred to in the Schedules hereto, be stopped up on the ground that they are unnecessary. A copy of the plans showing those parts of the highway to be stopped up may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Legal Division of the Chief Executive’s Department, Civic Centre, Victoria Road, Hartlepool. Brown, Chief Solicitor, Civic Centre, Hartlepool TS24 8AY Schedule Part Footpath, Millpool Close, Hartlepool (drawing No. M49.430) The following lengths of footpath: 1. The footpath to the south of the flats, being irregular in shape and varying between 2 metres and 6\5 metres in width, which commences at the rear boundary of 34 Millpool Close and runs in a generally north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 21 metres to its junction with the footpath which runs to the rear of Millpool Close and Rockpool Close. 2. The footpath to the north of the flats, being irregular in shape and varying between 1\8 metres and 9 metres in width which commences at the junction of the footpath which runs to the rear of Millpool Close and Rockpool Close and then travels in a generally south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 19 metres to its junction with Millpool Close to the rear of No. 39. This footpath also includes a triangular area to the rear of 34 Millpool Close, being approximately 0\5 metres high by 0\5 metres wide. Schedule Part Footpath, Somersby Close, Hartlepool (drawing No. M49.444) The following lengths of footpath: 1. The footpath located to the rear of 12 Somersby Close, being triangular in shape and approximately 3\5 metres long by 2 metres high. 2. The footpath to the side of 13 Somersby Close and the rear of 15 Somersby Close, being approximately 2\5 metres in width, which commences at the southern-most boundary of 15 Somersby Close and travels in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 4 metres. 29th March 1999.
